The Living Room provides an alternative to hospital emergency rooms, delivering the expert and compassionate care that has distinguished Turning Point Behavioral Health for over 50 years.

Trained recovery support specialists with personal experience in managing the challenges of mental illness collaborate with mental health professionals to provide crisis intervention, support, and mentoring.

When you visit the Living Room, you step into a warm and welcoming environment, staffed by a team that is well trained to help and support you.

About Turning Point: Turning Point Behavioral Health is a non-profit outpatient mental health center serving children and adults, with a mission to provide “solid support, when and where you need it most.” Each year, Turning Point provides approximately 28,000 service hours to 1,400 children and adults from throughout the Chicago metropolitan area, approximately 90% of whom are low income. Located in Skokie, Turning Point was honored with the 2017 Excellence in Mental Health Award from the Illinois Association for Behavioral Health, the 2015 Impact Award for Excellence in Behavioral Healthcare Management from the National Council for Behavioral Health, the 2017 Public Health Partners of Excellence Award from the Skokie Health Department and Board of Health, and the 2021 Skokie Business of the Year Award.
