We invite you to join us as we explore a variety of topics aimed at supporting the mental health and wellness of our friends, families, and communities.
Upcoming programs, beginning on January 30:
Suicide Prevention: You Can Help. Thursday, January 30, 2025, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. A free virtual training for all adult community members. ‘QPR’ Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training empowers everyday people with the tools to recognize and respond to someone in crisis. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer – three simple steps anyone can learn to make a difference. In this training, you will learn how to recognize warning signs of suicide, understand how to offer hope and support to someone in crisis, and learn how to get help and save lives by guiding individuals to professional resources. Facilitated by: Tracy Levine, Executive Director at the Naomi Ruth Cohen Institute. Tracy is a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience in behavioral health. As a certified instructor, Tracy specializes in delivering the QPR suicide prevention gatekeeper trainings.

About Turning Point: Turning Point Behavioral Health is a non-profit outpatient mental health center serving children and adults, with a mission to provide “solid support, when and where you need it most.” Annually, Turning Point provides approximately 26,000 service hours to over 1,100 children and adults from throughout the Chicago metropolitan area, approximately 90% of whom are low income.
