Health Insurance |
Eligible if working 30+ hours per week. Initial enrollment is open to new employees as of the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. |
Vision Insurance/ Discount Plan |
Employees enrolled in the BCBS HMO have a vision benefit administered by EyeMed; Employees enrolled in the BCBS PPO have a vision discount benefit administered by EyeMed. |
Dental Insurance |
Eligible if working 30+ hours per week. Initial enrollment is open to new employees as of the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. Covered at no cost for employee only. Premium applies for additional levels of coverage. |
Life Insurance |
Benefit is 1x annual salary up to $100,000. Provided at no cost to employee. |
Short Term Disability Insurance |
Benefit is 60% of annual Salary after a 7 day waiting period. Provided at no cost to employee. |
Long Term Disability Insurance |
Benefit is 60% of annual Salary after a 90 day waiting period. Provided at no cost to employee. |
403(b) |
Employees can contribute a portion of their annual salary on a tax deferred basis. Turning Point has a 50% match up to 3% of employee contributions. Contribution limits are set by law. Plan is administered through Mutual of America. |
Flexible Spending Account |
Plan allows employees to have money withheld from their paycheck, on a pretax basis, to be used for federally qualified medical, dependent care, or transportation expenses. |

Vacation Time |
Full Time staff working 40 hours a week accrue 16 hours per month of vacation time. Staff working between 30-39 hours will accrue a prorated number of vacation hours based on their weekly work hours. |
Sick Time |
Employees (40 hours/week) accrue 8 hours per month of sick time. Staff working between 30-39 hours will accrue a prorated number of sick hours based on their weekly work hours. Per the Illinois Employee Sick Leave Act, sick time may be used for absences due to an illness, injury, or medical appointment of the employee’s child, spouse, [domestic partner], sibling, parent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchild, grandparent, or stepparent, for reasonable periods of time as the employee’s attendance may be necessary, on the same terms upon which the employee is able to use sick leave benefits for the employee’s own illness or injury. |
