For All Ages

Emergency Services:  24-hour emergency services to respond to mental health emergencies for Niles, Northfield, and New Trier Townships.

Intake and Referral Services:  Intake provides phone consultation and helps evaluate the presenting problem as well as providing access to our services and referring residents to other needed services in the area.

Group Therapy Program:  Group therapy provides another setting in which to gain support and strength.  Turning Point offers a wide variety of groups such as children’s social skills building group, anger management group, bipolar group, and support groups for family members of those diagnosed with a mental illness.

For Children, Adolescents, and Families

Child, Adolescent, and Family Treatment Program:  Individual, family and psychiatric services for youth who are 18 and under and their families.

Bridges Case Management & Outreach Program:  Outreach service for youth and their families to help access needed services and help stabilize troubled families.  The Youth Council of the Workforce Board of Northern Cook County has recognized the Bridges Program at Turning Point as a Best Practices program.

For Adults

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program:  Developed for the persistently mentally ill using a recovery-based model, Psychosocial Rehabilitation at Turning Point offers skill-building, life management and therapy groups five days a week.

Residential (Apartment Living) Program:  Developed for those with persistent mental illness, Turning Point’s residential program offers an alternative living situation to nursing homes, group homes and halfway houses, while helping clients learn skills that will allow them to live much more independently.

Arches Case Management and Outreach Program:  Outreach case management program for adults.  This specialized program helps link adults to needed government funding, services, housing and food while educating them on how to maintain these entitlements independently.

The Living Room, A Mental Health Crisis Respite Program: The Living Room offers an alternative to hospital emergency rooms for adults in crisis.  The Living Room offers a number of services to help clients resolve their crises, including support and assistance with problem solving, on-site intakes for other Turning Point services, referrals for shelter, healthcare and food and a safe space in which to rest or relax.  The Living Room is currently open Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings, 3-8pm.

Outpatient Therapy Program:  Includes individual, couples and psychiatric outpatient treatment.

Student Training Program:  Training of externs in psychology, social work and counseling.
