5215 Oakton Street
Skokie, Illinois 60077
Elected officials as well as local chapters of United Way and the National Alliance on Mental Illness will join Turning Point staff, clients and the general public to discuss current challenges and opportunities facing mental health services at the 11th annual Turning Point Town Hall Meeting at 10 a.m. Friday, February 10, at the Skokie Public Library. Turning Point and the Skokie Public Library are partnering to host this year’s event, which is part of a series entitled Building Common Ground: Discussions of Community, Civility and Compassion.
The meeting will focus on such crucial topics as the State of Illinois’ current budget difficulties, how social service agencies such as Turning Point are innovating and coping with challenging economic times, and the importance of better identifying and treating those citizens with mental health needs.
Building Common Ground: Discussions of Community, Civility and Compassion has been made possible through a grant from the American Library Association and the Fetzer Institute.
